Flowers will be the autumnal theme during October as Burghley brings the outdoors in courtesy of floral displays created by local flower societies that will transform 10 of the state rooms, offering a new perspective on England's greatest Elizabethan house. Each room will inspire the floral arrangement with societies taking their inspiration from the painted ceilings, seventeenth century art or the original purpose of a room, all with the guiding theme of Autumn Colours.
The south gardens will also be open (weekdays only 11am to 4pm) during October for your to enjoy the Autumn colours in the parkland.
