    The Tomb of William Cecil: This impressive monument to William Cecil, builder of Burghley House and Lord High Treasurer to Elizabeth I, can be seen in the church of St Martin's Without on High Street St Martin's. The tomb, which has recently been conserved, can be visited; the church is open daily.
