Educational opportunities dealing with historical, artistic, performance, literacy, mathematical and scientific themes are available all year round. Visits can be self-led using free, supporting materials or guided by our experienced house staff and education officer, who delivers many themes in period costume and schools are encouraged to make their visit in period-style costume if appropriate.
Beyond the main house the extensive parkland, with its ancient deer herd, the delightful thirteen acre Sculpture Garden and the intriguing Garden of Surprises provide further opportunities for creativity and exploration of the natural world.
Educational programmes are devised and coordinated by our Director of Education, Alwyn Pollard, and can be tailor-made to meet a group's particular requirement and include practical activities where appropriate. |
