Seasonal position in our Front of House Team

Seasonal Post – 14th March until 1st November 2015.

We currently have a part time seasonal vacancy in our Front of House Team working in our Brewhouse Visitor Centre and the Gardens of Surprise.

Working 3-4 days per week to include weekends and bank holidays, this position would suit an outgoing motivated person with good people skills. Some knowledge of computerised tills is an advantage, but full training will be given.

The candidate must be able to work for a full season from March to October 2015.

House Guide

Seasonal Post – 14th March until 1st November 2015.

We currently have a part time seasonal vacancy in our House Guiding Team helping to interpret the House and collections for our visitors and provide a security presence within the State Rooms.

Working 3 days per week to include weekends and bank holidays, this position would suit an outgoing motivated person with good people skills and a love of history and art. Some knowledge of the history of the House and art history is an advantage, but full briefing notes about the collections and history will be given.

The candidate must be able to work for a full season from March to October 2015.

Retail Sales Assistant

Seasonal Post – 6th March until 20th Dec 2015.

A seasonal position for a Retail Sales Assistant has become available at Burghley House. This position will include working in our Courtyard and Christmas Shop as well as on our stand at the Burghley Horse Trials.

If you are a positive, proactive, highly motivated and trustworthy person with excellent customer service skills, we would like to hear from you. Happy to work as part of a team in a busy environment, turning your hand to whatever role is required including sales, stock control, merchandising and cleaning duties.

Candidates should ideally have experience in operating a till and delivering excellent customer service but full training will be given.

This is a seasonal post, working approx. 3 – 4 days a week. Candidates should be flexible and willing to work at least every other weekend as well as some Bank Holidays. The average working day from March, 14th is 10.30am – 5.30pm up until Nov, 1st thereafter 9.30am – 4.30pm.
