Burghley Park Golf Club is situated in the historic parkland surrounding Burghley House on the outskirts of Stamford. Burghley Park Golf Club is open to both members and visitors, offering a welcoming clubhouse with a bar, restaurant and multifunctional lounge area for functions.

The Opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working people to join our Front of House team in the Clubhouse bar and restaurant.

We may have more than one position available, and we welcome applications from candidates looking for either full-time or part-time permanent employment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis, offering the chance to build a long-term role within a friendly and welcoming hospitality environment.

Our Clubhouse bar is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm. Working hours will vary from week to week and may include a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. We are happy to discuss full-time and part-time working arrangements with suitable applicants.

The Role

As a member of our Front of House team, you will help ensure our members, visitors and guests receive excellent service and enjoy their experience in the Clubhouse.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serving drinks, including making hot drinks.
• Keeping the bar area clean, and well-organised.
• Collecting food orders from the kitchen and serving them to customers.
• Ensuring customers are satisfied with their meals.
• Clearing tables of used dishes and dirty glasses for washing, and setting tables.
• Processing card payments.
• Promoting and practising relevant health and safety and food hygiene standards.
• Locking up the Clubhouse at the end of the evening.
• Assisting with event set up and breakdown
• Carrying out other duties as directed by the Bar Manager.

• Have the ability to work on own initiative and keep motivated and busy when working on own or during quieter periods
• Have an eye for detail and quality
• Friendly and able to work well as part of a team.
• Calm and organised when working under pressure.
• Flexible in their availability across the week and month.
• Experienced in a hospitality setting, including bar work and using a till (desirable).
