The 18 spectacular State Rooms open to visitors are mainly decorated in 17th century style. Burghley houses many great works of art, including one of the most important private collections of 17th century Italian paintings; the earliest inventoried collection of Japanese ceramics in the West; rare examples of European porcelain and wood carvings by Grinling Gibbons and his followers. THE HOUSE Season starts Good Friday 21^st March until 30^th October 2008. Open daily (except Fridays) 11AM TO 5PM, Last Admission 4.30PM
The Gardens of Surprise Admission charges apply daily from 21^st March to 30^th October. Adults £6.30, Children (over 5yrs) £3.00, Adult Season Ticket £20.00, Family Season Ticket £45.00. (Free admission with House Tickets)
