A truly stunning setting for a drinks reception, the Old Kitchen with its vast array of copper utensils, turtle shells and revolving spit provides a unique and special venue. Maximum capacity of 100 for a standup reception.
THE GREAT HALL
Used as a banqueting hall both in Elizabethan days and during the 19th century, today it fulfils this purpose as well as it ever did hosting concerts and social events. The Great Hall provides a dignified and historic setting for up to 100 people for dinner or 200 for a stand up reception. As the backdrop to your wedding ceremony the Great Hall adds historic grandeur to your day with it´s double hammer-beam roof, minstrel’s gallery and handsome fireplace which can be lit in winter months.
THE ORANGERY
The Orangery was designed by Capability Brown in the eighteenth century to provide space for the family´s love of horticulture. Now the elegant, south facing Orangery with its huge windows provides a delightful setting for daytime events or a more intimate elegant space in the evening. Both the Orangery and adjoining Loggia open onto the attractive Rose Garden ideal for summer BBQs and standup drinks receptions. Full of lavender and roses it is a stunning location for wedding photos and also allows guests awe inspiring views of the Park beyond.
The Orangery can seat up to 100 people for dinner or 200 for a standup reception.
BANQUETING HOUSE
Capability Brown´s lakeside Banqueting House is located in the private gardens and provides a beautiful atmospheric setting for smaller parties and the perfect backdrop for outside events.THE GOODY RUDKIN ROOM
Situated above the gift shop in the Chestnut courtyard this room seats up to 60 people theatre style. With easy access to the A1 and one mile from Stamford railway station Burghley is an ideal location for conferences and seminars.
