A number of educational opportunities are now available at Burghley House.

Opening this summer the recently developed Brewhouse Visitor Centreprovides a number of new facilities to support school visits.

- a full size, well-equipped classroom,
- a second designated learning room,
- an audio-visual display space,
- treasury and additional display areas
- visitor entrance and cloaks facilities

These facilities will now be accessible for use by school groups throughout the year and from this exciting base a wide range of learning experiences are possible. We have a full time director of education who is available to tailor visits to a groups particular curriculum requirement.

The themed visits we offer relate to National Curriculum areas of study. Our teachers packs, (provided free in CD format), provide pupil resources and information to support and further develop your visit.

Tours of the house now follow a free-flow system and where necessary themes and practical activities are led by our Director of Education a former, recent head teacher. Because our themes often contain a self-guided aspect we strongly recommend that teachers take advantage of a free, preliminary visit in order to discuss aspects of their visit and any specific requirements needed for their pupils.
