Opening Times

Burghley has a varied calendar over the winter months, with essential conservation work, seasonal maintenance and event preparations taking place across the Estate.
This means our opening days and times change a little during this period. Thank you for your understanding as we care for the House, Gardens and Parkland ready for the year ahead.

Burghley House
Closed for the winter for essential upkeep and conservation.
Reopening Saturday 14 March 2026.

Gardens & Adventure Play
Open weekends only on 8 - 9 November and 15 - 16 November, before closing for the winter.
Reopening Saturday 14 February 2026.

Restaurant, Cafés & Shops
Open with winter hours (shown below) until Sunday 21 December 2025.

Parkland & Visitor Car Park
Open year-round, except on specific closure dates listed below.
